And the Academy Award goes to Sophie
Sophia gave us a scare yesterday when she faked a broken arm. Isella always says that I play too rough with the girls and that I don't know my own strength. I never thought much of it until yesterday when I was playing with Sophie and she started crying and holding her arm. At first I thought it was nothing big but then after 3 hours and a nap she was still crying and holding her arm. We tried getting her to lift it and she couldn't and every time Isella touched it she would cry out in pain. I felt like the biggest jerk in the world. We told her that we were going to have to go to the hospital and that didn't faze her and just about when we were getting ready to go to the ER, Isella tried to get her to take some medicine (which she hates) and all of the sudden we had a miracle recovery. I couldn't believe how well she sold the part and I can only imagine how many more performances we will see.

Visit from Tia Celia
Isella's aunt from L.A. came to stay with us for a few days last week and the girls just loved it. They loved to just sit and cuddle with her and she couldn't get enough of them. We didn't get to talk much because she doesn't speak very good English but Isella tells me that she thinks that I am the best husband and father in the world so she is welcome any time.

Sophie's First Soccer Game
I haven't downloaded the pictures yet but this weekend was Sophia's first soccer game and it was adorable. She looked so cute in her uniform and her cute little scrunchies that the team mom made for all of the girls. We found ourselves cheering for any kid who had the ball no matter what team they were on. The other team had a little girl who was so good we will be reading about her in the future. Whenever she had the ball nobody could take it away and she would score. I wanted to check her birth certificate to make sure she wasn't a 14 year old midget. They don't keep score but I am pretty sure that we lost and I don't think it bothered the kids too much. There were a ton of water breaks and and little snacks for the kids. The team mom also handed out boxes of candy for each kid to sell which I already owe at least $5. Michelle's first game is next week and I am sure it will be just as fun.

Back to School
School starts next week and Isella will be one kid short at home as Sophia starts Kindergarten. This makes me so proud and so frightened at the same time. I know Sophie will do great but I am expecting a few more notes sent home this year. Andrew will be a junior this year, also a proud/frightening moment and Michelle will be in 3rd grade and officially smarter than Dad in math. Back to school time can be a very emotional time for parents, at least for wimps like me because they are going somewhere where they have to fend for themselves and I can't be there in the background when some punk kid is mean to them. At least I get a warm up by leaving for work each day, I can only imagine how Isella must feel being with them 24/7 since birth. At least I have the comfort of knowing that I only have to do this one more time.

Diaper days are over
We are officially out of the market for diapers which is bittersweet. I am very happy that we don't have to fork out the $$$ anymore and it is so cute to see Mia's buns in her big girl panties but it is sad to think that I will never change a diaper for one of my girls again. I say that mostly in a metaphorical sense because with all 3 girls I probably changed about 3 diapers but it is still sad none the less. Now we are on to bigger adventures like how fast can you find a restroom from the time you hear "I have to go potty". I can only imagine what other adventures we will be having with these 3 girls as they get older.
